About Self Ligating Orthodontic Brackets:

How to Choose Edgewise/Roth/MBT orthodontic brackets?
1. Different properties: the structure of Roth/MBT bracket appliance is relatively simple and has its own radian. Edgewise appliance is a kind of multi band fixed appliance.
2. Different characteristics: because each supporting bracket is the same. Therefore, for the protrusion, arc and torque of tooth arrangement, doctors need to bend the arch wire according to experience. Roth/MBT brackets with a basic bow shape of the straight wire appliance can be inserted into the bracket to complete the 3D movement of the tooth.
3. Different applicability: Edgewise Brackets has high correction efficiency, but its structure is complex and its correction force is large. It is suitable for permanent dentition. Straight wire appliance can avoid the back and forth movement of teeth caused by inaccurate bow wire bending, so it is widely used in clinical practice.
