The pliers jaws use super hard stainless steel,to keep the tip color same as pliers body and assure the hardness of the tip.

Application of DTC Orthodontic Pliers

• Light wire cutter: Cutting edge made by new technology ligature wires diameter up to 0.30mm(0.012) (can not be used for cutting arch wires)
• Distal end cutter: Cutting edge made by new technology.Used to cut the long distal end of arch wires, and safety holding the cut part.
• Clear aligner: Used to invisible aligners or Invisalign.
• Light wire pliers: Cutting edge made by new Technology,used to make different fine loops for arch wires,and to make spring loops.Wires diameter up to 0.030″(0.76mm)
• NITI cinch back pliers(Dual Direcition): Cutting edge made by new Technology,used to bend the end of the NiTi orthodontic arch wire,can bend wire up to 0.021"/0.53mm diameter.
• Band remover: Used to remove bands and other bondable attachment.
• Bracket removing pliers: Used to remove anterior brackets.
• Step pliers: Step Pliers allow clinicians to easily create z-bends(bayonet bends) in one,simple step by using a gentle squeeze of the pliers handle.It help to create a right-hand or left-hand step-up or step-down in wire at 0.25mm,0.50mm,0.75mm or 1.00mm intervals.

Maintenance Tips for Orthodontic Pliers

·Maintenance

1.Do not pack the sterilized pliers until they are dry thoroughly.

2.To keep the surface of the pliers clean and dry all the time.

3.The maximum cutting capacity is 0.3mm in diameter for the ligature cutter, and 0.6mm in diameter for the heavy cutter.

4.After each cleaning process, apply oil to plier hinges joints and other critical areas of the pliers by using the cleaning/protective oil (white oil) for pliers.

5.Avoiding knocking or crashing during operation.

6.Wiping the surface of the pliers with machine oil, sealed in clean plastic bag to avoid rusting when cease to use for a long time.

7.Please quit to use when there is any cracking or failure happened.

·Clean, Immerse and dry

1.Rinse pliers under running water and immerse in a disinfectant solution.

2.Can be immersed in glutaraldehyde, and do not use metal brushes or steel wool.

3.Replace the disinfectant on time to ensure that the concentration meets the requirements.

4.Do not immerse pliers overnight.

5.Clean the pliers immediately and thoroughly after sterilizing, then keep pliers dry.

·Sterilization

Pliers must be cleaned, disinfected and if necessary, sterilized before each use. This also applies to initial use following delivery. Efficient cleaning and disinfecting is essential for effective sterilization.

1.Steam sterilization

A.Clean the pliers with a special mildew-removing agent, then clean pliers by clean water.

B.Keep them dry before placing them in the sterilizer.

C.Keep the hinge open while cleaning and sterilizing.

D.Take out the pliers immediately after the sterilization is completed to avoid prolonged exposure to a humid environment

2.Thermal sterilization

A.Refer to the steam sterilization steps.

B.Maximum sterilization temperature 180 ℃/356 ℉

·Storage

Following sterilization, pliers should be sealed in plastic bags or be stored in a sterile cabinet by under the condition of relative humidity less than 80%, no corrosive gas and well ventilation.
