Introduction to orthodontics with ceramic brackets

Feb 07, 2022

For orthodontic treatment with ceramic brackets, the brackets used are almost transparent and stick to the teeth for better concealment, so that the orthodontic process can be completed quietly. All transparent brackets currently used are alumina ceramics, which have the advantage of beautiful visual effects. The larger the ceramic grains, the better the transparency. The transparent bracket has good anti-pollution and anti-tarnish ability. As long as the patient pays attention to oral hygiene, the bracket can always be kept transparent. Because alumina ceramics have extremely high hardness, which is nine times that of stainless steel, it will not be deformed and has good dimensional stability. The 3M ceramic bracket base and the adhesive are chemically bonded, and the force is even, and it is not easy to fall off, which significantly reduces the number of follow-up visits.
